Off the Track

The mantra that I wrote about here, “Get off the Track,” was a driving force to get Carlos and me to Tasmania. We need to remind ourselves regularly to not get stuck in routines while here, to keep exploring and live in the moment. And now, there’s a new driving force to help get us off the track– literally.

This baby is older than me but drives like new. Well, at least that’s what Carlos says because I can’t drive it yet. It has manual transmission and so this weekend I’ll be on my way to realizing one of my life goals– driving stick. Only problem is that I’ll be learning on the opposite side of the road and the stick is on the left side. We’ll need deep breathing exercises to get through this one. We’re going to Bruny Island in the ute! Off track adventures, here we come.
