Moto Trip – Two Great Friends on Tassie Roads

On the last day Luis was here we decided to hire (rent) motor bikes and tour the South West of Tasmania. Our friend Ian at Moto Adventure was able to hook us up with some awesome bikes. I had a BMW F650GS touring bike and Lou the Honda NC700SA (Lou has always been a Honda guy).
Luis and I have a history with motorcycles, we took a motorcycle safety course and got our licenses together. There has always been a connection with us on motorcycles. A few years back we did a week moto trip from SF to Seattle and we had a blast. It is kind of a check list for us to rent bikes when we are in a different place. I didn’t realize how special this would be until we started cruising. We don’t talk on the bikes but we don’t need to. The communication is there with body language and just the presence of each other on the winding open road. It is so much fun to ride with Luis and to share some twisties.
We suited up and fitted the GoPro on the bike and away we went. Cruised through town on followed the road to the South West until it ended, literally. Our route took us all the way to Gordon Dam and that was the end of the road. Instead of boring you with words I will let the pictures tell the story.
